Needle Felting is a practical, no mess way of creating felt from any fibrous material. The barbed needles tangle individual fibres in a controlled way to create felt. In this way small or large areas can be felted in a very short space of time. Needle felting can be very useful for creating shapes, toy animals or flowers for example, as selected areas can be felted so that the shape is maintained.

Hilltop’s Needle Felting Kits are a great way to try the craft. Each kit contains full instructions, 1 or 10 felting needles, fibres (you choose the colours) protective foam (to stop table tops or legs being stabbed) and a piece of backing fabric.
