There are many types of dyes but the 4 main types that are used for textile crafts as as follows:-
Acid Dyes for Wool and Silk - our own are Easy Peasy Dyes
Fibre Reactive Dyes for vegetable fibres like Cotton and Linen - Easy Peasy Cotton Dyes
Natural Dyes made from mineral or vegetable matter used to dye wool, silk and some vegetable fibres.
Vat Dyes, usually used for vegetable fibres. The most commonly used Vat dyes are Indigo or Woad.
