The books on the next page have full instructions. The following instructions are for guidance to obtain the colour your require, as different types of fleece will alter the result. Slight adjustments in the instructions will obtain your desired result. Easy Peasy Dyes will dye: animal fibres, silk fibres, vegetables fibres to a lesser extend, blends of animal and manmade fibres as well as some manmade. IIt is always worth experimenting.
You will need:
4g of your chosen dye (4g - 1 catering sized teaspoon), Old saucepan (1.5litre/3 pint), 100g Fleece or yarn to be dyed, Screw top container
Water, 0-10ml syringe, Heat Source Hob
Prepare the dye stock by mixing 4g dye granules into the container and add 100ml water. Stir until dissolved. Your dye stock is now ready to use, so label with dye name, date and quantity of dye used (4g.) This is essential if you wish to repeat the colour, make a note of quantity of dye used, a 0-10ml syringe is very useful..

Place 1 litre of water into saucepan.

Add 10ml dye stock and stir to disperse colour into dye bath.

Add 100g fibre or yarn and immerse into dye bath.

Simmer for 30 minutes, timing when it has reached simmer point. Leave to cool.

Microwave Dyeing: You can use old microwave safe containers and cover with cling film, piercing the centre to allow steam out and avoiding a mess. Follow the above instructions using just 500-750ml water, and placing the microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes.
